Picpoul from the base of the Blue Mountains is the perfect, crisp summer white from Washington. It is the definition of crunchy, with screaming acidity and freshness.
Coming from Antoine Creek & our Forgotten Hills Estate Vineyard, the 2020 is showing notes of fresh stone fruits, and a meringue creaminess.
The 2019 Third Man is 75% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre from Olsen & Alder Ridge Vineyards. The finished wine was fermented 90% whole cluster with native yeasts and aged in predominately neutral Stockinger foudre, a.k.a. really big barrels, with a small amount in 500-liter puncheons and small barrels.
The 2018 Mourvèdre was fermented 50% whole cluster with native yeasts. It was aged for 18 months in large neutral oak barrels. Dried & fresh raspberries take over the nose & are balanced out with green cardamom. Brings up memories of the best pot roast Mom ever made.
Combining Walla Walla Syrah from the Rocks with fresher, more structured, higher elevation hillside fruit creates a wine of elegance, power, and beauty. An incredible wine intended to be an everyday drinker. Co-fermented with 5% Viognier in concrete and small stainless-steel tanks at 90% whole cluster. #stemsrule
Forgotten Hills is all about acidity, mineral, smoke, blood and iron. It is hardcore Syrah for those that love the Old World.
Located at the base of the Blue Mountains in Walla Walla, Les Collines sits in the foothills & we pull Syrah from the upper blocks. The slopes have near perfect drainage & shallow topsoil's which create healthy, nutrient rich vines.
We are continually fascinated by Red Willow Vineyard, farmed by the Sauer family in the Yakima Valley. The second vineyard designate release of Red Willow Syrah finds us blending the older and younger blocks at the site. A world class Syrah.
The 2017 Cabernet is a blend of 90% Cab Sauv, 7% Cab Franc and 3% Merlot. It was aged in 35% new French oak for 22 months. Our vineyards in Washington for Cab Sauv are simply stunning. The wine can be reminiscent of the Old World and historical California, a rare style today.
Each year, we create the John Lewis Reserve Syrah from the best of our barrels. In 2018, we again based it on the famed Les Collines Vineyard in the foothills of the Blue Mountains.
Our 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon "Reserve" is a blockbuster. As with most vintages, it comprises a blend of two incredible old vine Cabernet vineyards - Sagemoor and Phinny Hill. This is a Cabernet that will last for decades in the cellar.
Walla Walla lies in the Lower East corner of Washington State. We created Lower East as a thank you to our customers and industry friends. Our goal was to make a fantastic Syrah at a fantastic price.

We've found there's elegance and beauty in combining Rocks Syrah with hillside Syrah in Walla Walla. The 2016 brings us a 50/50 blend of the Estate Forgotten Hills Syrah with Holy Roller vineyard on the southern side of the AVA.
This wine combines the funk of the Walla Walla Rocks Syrah with the acidity of our Estate vineyard Syrah and fruit forward Syrah from Yakima.

The quality of Tempranillo in Walla Walla always takes my by surprise. In great vintages, it’s a dead ringer for Spain.
This is a wine of freshness and balance. It is a wine to ponder & consider. It is not a wine that hits you over the head with power. It requires thought and contemplation.
2016 is our best Cabernet vintage. The 2016 Reserve reunited the old vine block at Bacchus with one of the oldest blocks at Phinny Hill. Power meeting elegance. We believe it ranks with the best of Washington Cabernet.
